Regena takes a holistic approach to eye care. Our highly competent team works closely together with local eye-specialist Dr. Med. Hollweg and the Ophthalmologic Operation Centre in Lohr, Bavaria, Germany, which has gained an excellent reputation both nationally and internationally. At this exceptional clinic, some Regena guests have already received out-patient operations on optical problems such as cataracts and received personalized post-operation care from Dr. Hollweg. This has prompted Regena and the Ophthalmologic Operation Centre in Lohr to develop an eye-health package exclusively for Regena guests, offering them comprehensive all-round support and care. This way you can be sure that only premium firms are taking special care of your eyes.

Use your stay in Regena to privately recuperate in peace and quiet after receiving your eye operation and enjoy all the comforts that Regena has to offer. Relax and unwind in our spa and swimming complex 'Helena-Therme' and choose from a variety of our different freetime activities and entertainment programmes. A team of both doctors and nurses are available around the clock for your safety, welfare and medical assistance.

How it works:

• Your local doctor has recommended you receive a cataract operation and you have chosen the 'all-round care package' at Regena. Your personalised stay can be easily booked through our reservations office. Where possible, your arrival day should be a Sunday.
• The preliminary medical check-up will be carried out the following day, Monday, by Dr. Hollweg in Bad Brückenau, the home-town of Regena.
• The outpatient operation will take place on Tuesday in the Ophthalmologic Operation Centre in Lohr.
• Over the next few days you will receive a follow-up consultation as well as follow-up care from Dr. Hollweg.
• The final medical check up will take place a week after your arrival on the following Monday.
• It is then possible for you to journey home or to take the opportunity to stay a second week if you wish to receive treatment for your other eye.

Costs

9 days / 8 nights including all-inclusive ophthalmologic treatment and after-care, comfortable accommodation in modern rooms, full-board meals, chauffeur service to and from the Ophthalmologic Operation Centre in Lohr on the day of your operation, free use of our spa and swimming complex 'Helena-Therme', and a comprehensive medical check-up on request.

For German residents, operation costs will be handled by your relevant health insurance company. Please contact us regarding costs to be covered by private health insurance companies or for those visiting from outside Germany.

Bookings for the Eye Health Package are taken only as long as appointment times remain.
